Abolishing Politicians – UKIP Leadership Election Policies 2019
Over the past year, I have been heavily involved in the successful campaign to change UKIP policy regarding the UK’s devolved assemblies. UKIP now backs referenda on the future of these institutions in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. But we could go further – and scrap the useless Police and Crime Commissioners, which waste valuable public money and make the police forces even more politicised. We should also look at scrapping the London Assembly and the directly elected mayors and their expensive retinues.
